About Us

Elks Lodge — photo 1

Every Wednesday night, something reliable happens at 203 State St: the kitchen fires up, the bar pours cold drinks, and people who might otherwise be strangers end up sharing a table. That's not an accident. It's the culture members and staff at the Hamilton Elks Lodge have built over decades of showing up for this corner of the Bitterroot Valley.

Saturdays bring a different kind of crowd energy. During the Ravalli County Fair, the lodge fires up brats that draw a line out the door, and the smell alone is worth the walk down State Street. The food earns its reputation, and the atmosphere earns the rest. Visitors consistently note how quickly they felt at home, whether they came for a rummage sale, a dinner, or just a drink after a long week.

The lodge is part of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, a national fraternal organization with deep roots in charitable giving and community service. But what makes the Hamilton chapter worth your time is simpler than a mission statement: good people, good food, and a door that's genuinely open.

What We Offer

Wednesday dinners are the cornerstone of lodge life here. Each week the kitchen produces a full, home-style meal that members and guests line up for, paired with a full bar and the kind of easy conversation that's hard to find anywhere else in town.

Saturday brat cookouts during fair season have become a local tradition, drawing longtime members and first-timers alike to the outdoor setup on State Street. Beyond the food, the lodge hosts rummage sales that regulars describe as five-star events, community fundraisers, and member-organized gatherings throughout the year.

Membership opens the door to a broader network of Elks lodges across the country, local charitable initiatives, and a social calendar that keeps the building active most nights of the week. Whether you're exploring membership or just stopping in as a guest on a Wednesday, the staff makes the experience easy from the first step through the door.

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
